Peak Power

Beneficiary of the grant: Green Energy Pal d.o.o.

Project name: Peak Power

Project code: NPOO.C3.2.R3-I1.06.0021

Project description:

Energy efficiency and the green transition are key objectives of the EU. Inefficient consumption of electricity. energy and high OPEX especially affect SMEs with connection power greater than 22 kW, which pay not only for the consumed electricity. energy, but also for strength. The lack of precise management of peak loads increases costs due to precisely the high fees for engaged peak power. GEP proposes the development of an AI system for cutting peak power, which enables dynamic management of consumption and optimization of device operation schedules in real time. Such management reduces peak loads, which allows users to achieve significant financial savings and increase energy efficiency, while simultaneously supporting the goals of sustainability and green transition.

Project objectives:

The goal of the project is to prove the concept up to the TRL-4 level (testing in a laboratory environment), and success will set the basis for further development and launch of PEAK POWER products on the domestic and regional market.

The activities and expected results of the project are:

A1. DEVELOPMENT OF SOLUTIONS UP TO TRL-4

A2. FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY TESTING

A3. INNOVATION CYCLE MANAGEMENT

A4. CREATION OF DOCUMENTS FOR INNOVATION COMMERCIALIZATION

A5. ADMINISTRATIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT

A6. INDIRECT COST FOR PERSONS FOR WHOM PERSONNEL COSTS ARE NOT CLAIMED

THE FEASIBILITY OF THE CONCEPT WILL BE PROVEN IF THE TESTING SHOWS THE RESULTS:

– R1: Successful and accurate operation of individual algorithms according to standard metrics for testing AI algorithms

The algorithms must be able to predict peak and low power and total electricity consumption in laboratory conditions, where their prediction accuracy will be tested against real energy consumption data.

DELIVERABLE: Software; Report.

– R2: Successful and accurate operation of the peak load reduction framework with different AI algorithm configurations

The framework must demonstrate its effectiveness in reducing energy costs through successful peak load reduction. Testing may include simulating, for example, a bakery with chillers and ovens. Peak loads will be simulated when all units are operating simultaneously, and the algorithms will optimize the operation of the chillers during periods of lower consumption, while the ovens will operate without interruption.

DELIVERABLE: Software; Report.
